About the course
On Saturdays: The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind, and many of the problems we experience, including ill heath, are caused or aggravated by this stress. By training in meditation we shall be able to reduce this stress. We shall experience a calm, spacious feeling in our mind, and many of our usual problems will fall away. Difficult situations will become easier to deal with, we shall naturally feel warm and well disposed towards other people, and our relationships with others will gradually improve.
On this day course we will learn simple, practical meditation techniques that we can use to make our life happy and meaningful.
These courses provide a special opportunity to deepen our understanding of particular aspects of the Buddhist way of life and meditation and are a great opportunity to meet with others trying to live this way of life.
